The route exploring the Chianti area starts and ends in Gaiole in Chianti, with itineraries ranging from a minimum of 32 km—the so-called Passeggiata—to medium routes of 130 km through the Crete Senesi, and the Percorso Lungo, the true L’Eroica, with an elevation gain of about 3,700 metres and a ride lasting over 15 hours, taking cyclists through Montalcino, Buonconvento, Asciano, Castelnuovo Berardenga, and Radda in Chianti.
